Meet the newly appointed SDO of Ranchi – Lokesh Mishra

Its time we welcome Mr. Lokesh mishra to Ranchi as the new SDO. He took the charge in hand on 19th August, 2019 from the previous SDO Mrs. Garima singh tomar. He secured 44th rank in UPSC 2015.

Lokesh Mishra is from Pratapgarh, UP. They are a happy family of 6, including his father, mother, and 3 siblings. Among all the four siblings, he is the youngest one. He completed his schooling from Pratapgarh and then joined the prestigious IIT Delhi for his graduation in Chemical Engineering. He got graduated in 2012. His father is a branch manager in RRB. His brother Yogesh mishra is IOFS, CSE 2013 and sisters, Madhavi mishra and Kshama Mishra are IAS CSE 2014 and IPS CSE 2015 respectively.

After the completion of his graduation, Lokesh mishra joined chambal fertilizers and chemical limited in Kota, Rajasthan and worked there for about 2 years. He always had a dream of joining civil services since his childhood days and thats the reason why he opted for the civil services examination. He got selected in UP PCS and he gave 9 months to the state civil services of Uttar Pradesh. He worked in Raibareli, UP as Block development officer. In 2018, he joined as SDO in Chhapra, Bihar. Lokesh even did his training in Champaran, Bihar after he cleared UPSC.

When Lokesh was asked about the books he used for the guidance during his preparation period, he very openly said it was all about his brother’s notes. He said his brother was his mentor whom he followed blindly.

He has proved himself a dedicated person in every aspect and position he has been into. We really hope to see the best out of his work for Ranchi as well.
